‘Our Turn 2026’ Superior Adult Learning Anthology

All proceeds from this book go directly to Superior Adult Learning, helping them to continue to deliver high quality literacy services within our community!

Superior Adult Learning was founded as Program Read in 1987 by a handful of educators who believed that no adult in Algoma should be held back by gaps in their literacy or numeracy education. Decades later, they are continuing to evolve with the needs of our community – meeting learners where they are and providing them with the tools they need to get where they want to go.

As a not-for-profit organization, they provide one-on-one support to English-speaking individuals who are out of school and living in the Sault Ste, Marie, Ontario area; are over the age of 19; and who want to improve their reading, writing, math, or digital skills. Through its FREE programs, the centre provides the tools that adults need to build confidence, gain independence, and secure meaningful employment.

OUR TURN is exactly that – a chance for learners to take their turn to share their stories and their experiences to a broader community. It aims to celebrate their hard work and success, and to inspire others in our community to seek out new opportunities for growth themselves!

Featuring work by: Jo Boer; Mark C.; Deborah Chadwick; Rejane Covielo; Russell T. Dunn; Michelle Horsford; Luke Khull; Rachelle Margaret; Tom Miller; Karleigh Oulette; Josh Robertson; Mary Speller; Kevin Thompson; and Kevin Carl White.
